Hi All

My Handbrake started making a Racket so whipped the wheel off and found that the Backplate where the pin goes through is corroded to death and beyond redemption. Does anyone have one or a complete hub with the Backplate? I'm running a one wheel Handbrake at the mo lol

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as the old girl is still going strong Smiley

You could find a random back plate, cut out the area with the pin holes and tack to the back of the Carlto plates.
The front pins can be drilled and tapped (M5) into the hub and summat like M5x20 setscrews used to hold the front shoes in - mine has, any way.
My rear ones just float - I mean, where they gonna go?
Passed 6 MOT's now. Grin

The old one is totally gone, nothing to tack to lol
A mechanic mate of mine says a SAAB 93 one will fit, can anyone confirm this?

Saab 93/95 and Vec C are pretty much the same underneath, just like the Carlton/Omega relationship.

Hi
New to this site, breaking a 2.5 Senator and according to EPC back plates are the same, note sure what condition they are in but I'll have a good idea by the end of next week, if you interested let me know.
Regards
Paul.

I really don't think Vectra C ones will fit  - completely different. You need a windy-in tool to get the calliper away from the disc and there's no crappy old 19th Century drum brake arrangement.
Plus, on the Vectra C, the handbrake works well and doesn't need adjusting every three weeks! Grin
Hmmmmmmmmmm, would be a good conversion on a Carlton...............

You want Carlton, Senator, Cavalier or Calibra ones mate.  Part No.s are 90222356 RH (drivers side) and 90222355 (passengers side).

Like these...

You realise the rear hub has to be removed to replace them, yes?

Hi, yes I know you have to remove the Hub. I'll have a look for some, though I'm not gonna chuck a load of money at it with the price of scrap at the mo as the old girl has many other niggly faults and it might be time to part company which would be a shame I know.
Thanks for the info Dude!  Smiley
