just a quick line to say hello.ive just brought mysef a 1986 c plate 2 litre l carlton.shes been off the road in a barn since 1998.my boss brought some tractors off the bloke that owned it and she came as part of the deal.went over her today and she needs the ends of both sills doing and a bit on the pass side rear arch.apart from that shes solid.when i get chance il post sum pics up.paul

ive dug her out the corner of the yard and got her running.gave the fuel pump a wack and abit of petrol down the carb.and she burst into life after 13 yrs no knocks or rattles and good oil pressure.thort id see if she would move around and the cluth wasnt stuck.so gave her a run round the yard and was spot on till the choke went off then she died.stated up ok and spot on again for about 5 mins then died again.so going to bin the varijet poo carb and fit a twin choke webber off a 2 litre sierra on her.i forgot to take pics as was over the moon at getting her running and driveing around.ive binned the standard steel wheels and pram tyres and fitted a set of cav gsi slas and looks much nicer.paul Grin
