hello all,

as some of you know, ive purchased johnraka's old carlton 2.0 gli saloon, in satin red.

here it is after i got it back:

as i had them anyway, i thought i'd see what she looks like with some 17inch omega elite alloys fitted:

they will be staying on! checked, they dont fowl the front legs or rear arches thank god.

future plans:

1) convert to a manual (i know why buy an auto in the first place, but john's carlton was in such good condition and well looked after, and in the colour i love, and not far away from me i couldn't resist it.
2) maybe a few engine tweeks like highlift cam, duno atm
3) possibly swap back to a carlton dash, as for some reason im not overly keen on the seni dash atm. i'l probably end up keeping the seni dash, and just find a manual seni centre consol from ex plod one or something.
4) gsi boot spoiler and meshed front grille
5) maybe loose some of the chrome, wasn't overly keen on it when i first bought it, but its growing on me tbh.

other than that, she'l be staying as she is.

i'l update as i do more!

Looking good on those wheels Dave, the additional Chrome 'Bling' is only stick on mate so should peel off with no bother.

Those 17" wheels do look the business mate, really beef her up... Grin Grin Grin

Those Omega B Elite wheels look great - watch out for a bit more tramlining and a bit of a firmer ride. Wink

done a few more bits to her now.

removed all of the boot badges, and the chrome stripes to bootlid, and bottom of the front and rear bumpers.

not happy, the bootlid has been re-painted at some point, and when i started to t-cut the glue off, it started taking the damm paint off, and the chrome stripes took some of the laquer off.

nothing a trip to the bodyshop can't sort out though, just bit annoyed.

still, heres new pics:

also fitted some gsi seats now, which i was suprised how comfortable they are.

Looks very clean, loving the 17's. I had some on my old Senator, be careful as they are pretty soft metal and I managed to buckle one in a pothole.

small update.

she's now sporting a gsi rear spoiler, and soon a facelift "gsi" grille

ive also stumbled across a donar car now, which i'l be picking up shortly, so i will be looking for some help in the conversion.

i will be converting back to a carlton dashboard though im affraid, ive got it in the donar car so it makes life easier, plus im not overly keen on the jag like seni centre console.

looking to get the car all converted ready for billing!

will keep everyone updated!

thanks
