my newly aquired 1991 carlton cd has working and not seized front seat height adjusters,a non broken hinge on centre console lid and even more amazed when cleaning in boot behind where the first aid symbol is, a rather tatty looking packet of bandages with german writing on, put there in russelheim no doubt in 1991 still there!! the secret i suppose is the car was a company car when new and then the driver bought it from them when 3 years old and hes owned it since, i had a low lowder go and pick it up as it has no mot and was 250 miles away and the owner told me it was delivered to there address brand new by his company in 1991 on a low loader and was strange how it was being taken away now to its new owner by one! not exactly mint and in need of an enthusiasts touch which it sure will get.

I've never seen or had an unbroken one. It must be the Holy Grail of Carlton ownership!

If I found a carlton with a non-broken lid i'd break it so I would fit in.

The console lid on mine is working as it should. Both the front seat height adjusters also work as Vauxhall, or Opel intended. I thought mine was unique, but obviously not!!
