Picked this up tonight.

MOT failure, chassis and inner wing parting company on the drivers side and the steering box mount not to clever either, makes it an interesting drive Shocked. But apart from that it's complete and mostly working. More pics to follow

It is a 2.0 auto in blue and will be most useful (he says not wanting to use the "B" word)

If its a rot box, there's no issue with using the Breaking word.

Just list the parts you do not want for others to enjoy.

Here's a thing, what are you going to do with the removable glass.
Is it security etched? If you are doing nothing with it, can I have it.
What are the doors like...rust free?

I need to get a lock up!

Mmmmmm??? Plan developing...... will involve doors (parts of) and all side glass apart from fronts of course.....

So Mr. 30N, how much trouble would it be to remove the door seal from the front door (that's not the door seal that sits in the opening, it's the hard-ish rubber that goes on the door itself) and all the side glass, total of 6 pieces, rear doors and boot glass.

I had re-think about the actual doors and the cost to either get them shipped out to me or drive the car back (and home again) to get them fitted would be prohibitive in the extreme,  money better spent on fuel finding a scrap yard in Spain!

All the glass will take a few hours. The rubber you refer to is the one the glass slides up and down on?? You read that the glass is all etched

Yes aware that glass is etched, not really a problem for me, mine dont match my reg anyway over here Grin

Yes thats the one, if it can be taken off without breaking, only the drivers side is required.

Now, my plans are these. Fly back from Mauritius on the 21st/22nd April to Spain. Flight from Spain to Scotland on the 10th May. Flight from Scotland to Bristol on the 14th May, pick up Omega TD estate. Drive to a ,pickup gearbox for polo, meet with Murph. Start heading North to Saffron Waldron, visiting old friends there, stay the night. get a little drunk. Head from there towards Junct 24 on the M1 and a meet/pickup glass and door seal, then from there head up and east to Morpeth to collect doors for the polo (good job I'm getting an estate eh?)

Phew, think that covers everything, doesn't it?Huh

Rear doors 2 bits each and the long boot section glass, all easily removed IIRC
I took my rear door glass out by drilling rivets of the leccy mechanism but I think you can just undo a couple of screws to release glass from the support, the other bit comes out when you remove the strut in between. The rear boot glass is held in place by 6 or 7 screws at the bottom, you see these when the interior is taken out.

Don't need the fronts, this is all going to be tinted prior to fitment and saves me driving around with out glass. Although in the summer that would be nice  Cool

Have you had a quote on the tints yet Jon?

Couple of places that advertise 150 for a full estate set, but as I will be dropping the glass off with them it might be cheaper than that. There is also DIY but not to sure on my skills with that plus the ever present dust could be a problem where I am! I did Linda's first car back windows with limo black after taking them off and doing them in the house, not too shabby if I say so myself. Trying to do them in situ is another matter all together.
We'll have to see...

Let's hope the price comes down a bit - seems only fair as you'll be making the job easier.
I already have the long side windows and I'm sure I can lay my hands on the others so it's just the boot that'll have to be done in situ.

Mr 30N sorry to muck you about but I've been offered all the glass I need FOC so I'll not be making an offer for yours. But I would still like the rubber surround for the front drivers door if that's OK.

Your just above J24 on the M1 yes? If thats the case I'll be able to meet and pick up on the 15th May. I only have one day to do this as I have to be back in Scotland that evening. Does that sound do-able?

Cheers
