I reluctantly disabled my central locking system and made it a purely manual one years ago by removing the control unit Sad

Repeated problems with door locking motors made me realise that if only one door lock failed in the deadlock position, the only way to get at it would virtually destroy the door card Cry

If the whole system fails when you are outside the car and everything is deadlocked, you are neck deep in the brown stuff.

Unfortunately, removing the control unit also disables the alarm system Roll Eyes
