Has anybody here fitted, or know anyone that has fitted the seven function trip computer to a lower spec model, circa 1993 built.
In the 1993 model brochure, it is fitted to the CDX, Diamond and Diplomat. However, acccording to the brochure, it was only available on the 3.0 Diamond and not the 2.0 Diamond. Seems strange as it was fitted to the 2.0 Diplomat?
So, is it an easy task to fit it to a GL or is it a ballacher?

That would depend on wether you can find the plug behind the clock.
It
should
be there but it's often taped to the rest of the loom so you might need to remove the dash trims to find it.
Once you've found that you'll need to look down by the battery tray for a round 2 wire connection - that's where the outside temp sensor plugs in.
Once you've found those two it's a simple matter of fitting the selector buttons. They plug in under the centre console, right at the back next to the electric window switch plugs.

And you need to get the trip computer from a 2 ltr car, not the 2.3 or 2.6 or 3 ltr as the calibration chip is diffrent.

Thanks guys.
It is from a 2.0 car. Just thought, I will need the outside temperature sender from behind the front bumper, won't I?

Yup, did the same on my GLi - you should find everything in place behind the dash.
