Sorry if I'm breaking any rules, but I feel all Diamonds/GSI's should be saved if possible and by cross posting I believe I'm doing this.

I have a 1993 Carlton Diamond for sale with or without engine. The car has it's C30SE engine removed and the car has rust in the 'chassis' rails under the power steeing pump area. It is not beyond repair but I have now lost interest and am selling all my Carlton stuff. The car has Irmscher springs all-round which lowered it a couple of inches. The car had new discs and pads fitted all-round prior to being dry-stored. It is also one of only 20 or so factory 5-speed manuals so is relatively rare i guess. It has Richard Brunt 'Cat-Pipes' fitted. The diff is quiet and gave no problems. The 5-speed gearbox is still fitted to the car. The full black leather interior is very good condition with no splits or tears anywhere. It has a CD player with the Grundig 10 x CD shuffler. I am asking £500.00 for the car less the engine.

The engine is the C30SE engine and the cylinder head was rebuilt by Richard Brunt around 1,000 miles ago with 'club' timing chains etc. There engine is oil-tight and there are no unpleasant rattles but unfortunately the engine started smoking when pushed and I took it off the road in late 2005. Before the engine was removed a few weeks ago I simply connected a new battery and it started on the second turn of the key and settled into a nice tickover almost immediately. I am asking £500.00 for the engine which has an excellent overhauled head with the now hard-to-find club chains and a new clutch (1,000 miles).

I also have 2 other C30SE engines (1 x manual with 5-speed manual gearbox (unnatached) & 1 for an automatic.

If anyone is interested I can pass on your details to the ABS member.

They do say that 'diamonds' are a girl's best friend. Whether it refers to sparkly gems or a Carlton model, I dunno.

Sorry to come across a bit fick like, but that to me implies that because it might have been put up on ABS that ABS members should get first dibs before it's cross-posted on here?
Not in agreement with that as it's on ebay, which is in the public domain.
