Thanks ! Yeah the car is nice, though a bit tired in the paintwork, but hey, it's 18 years old...

We never had that model here.

Are there many to be seen on the roads in Norway?

Nope, there are just about none on the roads. They were incredibly expensive new, so very few spent so much on an Opel. This was the only only one for sale over here, except 2 Omega 3000 (GSI).With other words, rare. BTW, this one is even more rare, it's a Manual!

EDIT: The paintwork looks good in the pictures, but IRL, it has quite a few stonechips and scratches around.

It's a blast to drive, but quite scary too sometimes and VERY unpractical when there's alot of snow...

@Jimmy, our "gsi" would be the Omega 3000, it looks exactly the same as yours GSI. This is kind of a special version where you get the looks of the standard CD, but with the engine from the 3000. It's a little sleeper:P

I like that a lot. Colour is sweet. Hmmmm you've got me hatching a plan here now. I have everything I need to turn a 2 litre into a 3 litre 24v sleeper and your hub caps give it that sleeper finishing touch. Excellent car sir.

Where about in Norway? I have been there in the winter in Trondheim and up North to Narvik and Tromso as well.
Nice looking motor as well.

Cool! I live in Mo i Rana which lays about 40-50 miles south of Narvik. Did you travel by boat or by train/car? If you travelled by car or train you've driven through Mo i Rana, as both the train tracks and road goes through the city.

Yeh, been there, we sailed in to Narvik one year but most times we flew in to Bardufoss or Evenes (military flights/boats) We had some guys billeted in Mo i Rana so I used to do the drive from Elvagardsmoen up to Harstad then down through Narvik/Beisfjord to Mo I Rana and beyond. We were spread out over quite large area. Driving those roads in the winter in a light weight 2.25 petrol landrover was interesting to say the least!!!
I did 10 winters over there and loved every one of them, a paid winter ski-ing holiday courtesy of HM govt.

Seems like you've been to more places over here than me Tongue I've been to Narvik and Bardufoss, and I was at the military base in Bardufoss last year:)

Hah maybe, I did a couple of winters near Trondheim as well, must say the city nightlife back then was fantastic...  but that was in the late 70's...aaaaaah the good times!
Came very close to moving there after the 5th winter deployment, y'know a winter wife and all that....
