had this lil problem for the last few days now, each time iv got to the car (Senny) c/l is slow and the car will not start, and i mean nothing, not even turn over, dim ignition lights,,,,,..
So yeh... the batt is flat.

it happened the first time the next morning after i replaced a few bulbs on/in the dash. due to me leaving the lil light on in the back. Jump leads - and it started 1st time. i left it running for about 45mins thinking it may of charged up a lil bit. Next morning, same thing. Jump leads - started 1st time, hour long drive, 10 hours later,...guess what... nothing!! and so... jump leads and yes. started 1st time..

For reassurance purposes, is this just the symptoms of a dieing batt, or just needs a charge??

or...

is there something i did in the replacing of the bulbs in the dash that is causing this??

i just been out, need to get fags.... guess what....nothing, dim ignition lights, only drivers door ulocked as the c/l didnt work, and will i was in the car i heard this lil clicking noise, like the c/l was trying to work...
no, didnt use the jump leads - I WALKED!!!!

a lil hepl please, really getting on my t1t$ now!

Sounds like a dead battery Jim.
Try the one off the Carlton and see how you go mate.

yeh will do, but that will need a full recharge aswell as the car is still dead  Undecided

if all fails, it may need a multimeter test to see if there is a drain from anywhere, have you got one Murph?

i dont think its the alternator, as the headlight aint dim when driving at night, might need a new starter motor at some point, would a failing motor drain the battery?

Shouldnt do Jim.
I have a battery and alternator tester and a multimeter so testing it wont be a problem I should think.

Depends what time.
I need to get over to Blackfen to pick up a couple of tools, then at some point tomorrow we'll be heading down to MOK's place to get his 2.6 back to him.

Duff battery, and i mean. had the car running for a while when i got it started (Blagged a jump start) after a while, as we were checking it ie: Murph and Mr Mad, the batt started to stink and smoke... ''yep, thats bollox'd!!!'' imminent explosion... lol
So anyway. took the one off the carlton for now, and so far no problems Wink
