Im guessing its expensive?


Mine could idealy do with some lil dents being taken out all over it.     And im considering saving some dosh for a paint job in the future..  As mine is a relitively solid example of a carlton..      Cheesy

And i do still like it......

Not sure what the colour is . (forgot the name)   But its that dark pearlecent green they did them in ...   1993  Huh

Just having the LC sprayed it's costing 3.5k. That's for a full professional job no micky mouse job. You best get saving!!!  Tongue

If you want a decent job then you need to dig deep, otherwise you may waste money on a cheap job and then have to respray again in a few years time.

Thats a good point.  My dads bug is a testament to that.   The previous owner  painted it in his drive.   No primer. Blue and old english white straight over orange Shocked

And then wondered why it immediatly decided to fall off haha...


Either way.  I guessed painting it would be expensive.  But was more wondering how much for the specific green pearl...     As metailic just isnt the same realy....


Although id realy like it bright red with a senny front end.... HMMMMMMM  Cheesy

Colours, pearl or metallics don't effect price very much. It's only if you start going for some crazy flip paint etc it will go up.

Paintwork is all in the preparation - thats what you pay for.
Anyone can paint a car, but if you just bog holes and rust up and don't rub down and primer everything, then it all goes wrong.
Solid colours need to be primed and rubbed down using minimum 320 grit wet and dry, but metallics need atleast 600 grit or the rubbing marks show through the laquer.
As baking paint or firing up a paint booth is getting so expensive now, a range of 2 pack accelerated hardeners are now available - great for those people who paint in their garage with no heat!!!
