If the above post contains spelling mistakes / grammatical errors / poor use of the quote function / a very weak retort, or is generally shyte; it's because I'm feked on a cocktail of drugs, homebrew and carb cleaner.sorry

Dont think they are all the Carlton/Senators are the same.....................

My 2.6 carlton (auto)distributor does not have anything on it or in it. Its just a casting with a rotor arm on the shaft with a cap. Nothing attached. The site mentioned says that the Hall sensor tells the ECU where no1 cylinder is. I have a crank sensor which I assume does the same thing. My 2.6 is Dec 1990. I haven't seen another sensor but there might be one and called Halls?

The ECU wiring I have a copy of shows the Hall sensor P47, crank sensor P35 and  2 knock sensors P46 & 56 together feeding into the ECU. The distributor is shown elsewhere with just the coil connection like mine, so there are differences.

Only ^ applies to 2.6's - you got an octane plug too
