Ok, on my way back from a 400 mile round trip i went over a very small bump in the road and all my dash lights went out , managed to get home and found that the fuse had blown so thought no big deal i will just replace it and be on my merry way but i was wrong lol every-time i switch the headlights on the dash light fuse blows straight away whether the engine is running or not , i have spent hours under the dash , removed the fuse box, checked under the bonnet etc an still cant find the cause so after 15 fuses and now a painful neck lol im stuck , any advice guys ?

That fuse also feeds the headlight levelling motors; maybe something shorting in the loom to the headlights ?

here we go, another one starting to spark, i got something similer in my senny.
if i squirt the window washers with the headlights 'off', everything is norm, but if my headlights are 'on' and i squirt the window washers, its blows the fuse to the dash lights. iv scratched my head for a long time wondering what is doing it, but it is messy behind the dash, fanks to the old bill, buggering it all up!!

ok i had a similar thing too mine was caused by the wiring for the under bonnet light getting chewed through by the nearside bonnet hingecheck that and if necessary cut it short and tape it up
the only thing is the heated washer jets are in the same sleeve your choice as to fixing or doing without!!

i had a very similar thing - if i had my lights on, i could turn the key to turn engine off and even remove the keys lock up and walk away and the car would still be running, it would turn off if i beeped the horn or turned the lights off .. had me stumped for a good few days lol turn lights on and the ignition came on lol
found out it was a little relay next to the fuel pump relay under the bonnet on the pass side - think it was a yellow one ( i just replaced it from scrappy ) and it fixed the prob .
try this it may work as we were looking at headlight washers and all sorts lol
