Hi, somebody has colour coded my bumpers in the past and I now need to remove the paint from the bits that should be black however I'm not sure how to go about it, does anybody have any ideas? Cheers!

maybe just good old paint stripper or try getting a heat gun on it .   tricky one this Huh might end up havingto just sand it until you get the plastic back.

It's going to be tricky but I reckon a heat gun will be the only way.

I colour coded my bumpers and the door plastics a while ago. For this I sanded the plastic almost smooth.

I wonder if the guy who had your carlton before you did this. If he did I don't know if you could make it look ok after you remove the paint.

I may well be wrong but I thought it was worth mentioning it.

There's a few chips in the paint on the front bumper and the black underneath looks ok, if they haven't sanded the black bits it's good and bad I suppose, cheers.

If it wasn't sanded I thought it might come off a bit easier. Mine came off in big lumps when I crashed into that wall but I guess you don't wanna do that. Wink

ahh but they may have used bumper paint which is flexible so would be ok without sanding much ;-)

TBH It might be easier to repaint the colour coded areas black again rather than try and remove the old paint

Removed some of the paint today with the heat gun, the upshot is that what's underneath is probably going to need painting black, however because I've started removing the paint I'm now going to have to remove it all and paint it rather than paint the paint if you get me, should have done that in the beginning lol.
