can any body tell me if there is an easy way of getting the seat mounting frame off without destroying the seat? need to replace the height adjusting mechanism. have a seat with all this in working order but it is not a black leather diamond one so i need to swap them if at all poss

I've replaced the runners/height adjustment from a senny seat to my carlton seats before now (for the same reason) and from memory it just bolts on underneath .

cheers guys i can see there is 4 bolts holding the frame on but i cannot get to the heads. how does the seat come off without damaging it?

First remove the rear backrest part so you're just left with the bit you sit on. Then if memory serves me correctly, the upholstery cover is just clipped on at the front and rear and should be able to be pulled off once it's unclipped. Then it's just removing the cushion to nexpose the heads of the bolts. HTH  Smiley

The height adjusters can be replaced without removing the seat subframe from the seat......
