hi there always been a vx man gte astras etc but my first carlton ..brought this 270681627914   after my e30 beemer died lol got it back to find it had done 92,000 miles and only 19,000 in ten years which in 2000 had a cambelt etc .. only used by son in law other wised garaged .had new sills and arch and was totally mint ..anywhoo now want some wheels and lowering stuff and a nice interior ie gsi one or diplomat leathers apart from that keeping her standred ..might put a cavi 130 engine in later .. cheers pete

pics on my other laptop so i will put some on tomorrow .. and any parts around the midlands area if poss as hate traveling now petrol is sky high .. prob do an engine change around april not to fussed as it will never be a speed machine without the 3ltr in .. wondering if anyone has put a ye olde red top in one yet Wink  one thing was shocked to have 4 one touch windows ....

furry muff. Redtop can go (ask Johnny A) but is pretty tight to the brake servo IIRC and isnt 100% straightforward.... depends how mechanically adaptable you are Smiley 2.0 is fine for economy, drive it right and you can get good MPG Smiley

there is a step by step somewhere on ere, but have you herd of photobucket? create yourself an account, then just copy the URL off the pictures you uploaded, which is easier. Wink

iirc the red top/let was designed with for the gsi but gm decided to go for the six instead for smoothness and torque dunno how true that is but sure i heard that somewhere

oh and it is totally orioganal have the origional stereo as well lol .. needs the arch strip on one side and the rear bumper sorting as a bit lop sided ..interior is like new and smells like a new car hehe still amazes me the amount of car you can get for so little money hence do not want to change cars looks apart from lowering a bit and alloys as i do like the low looks on a big car maybee shine the bumpers up a bit but eh glad to back th vx bmw are great but i miss the easiness of how early vauxhalls are to work on ; )

holly s**t thats low and mean .. cannot seem to locate any decent springs apart from overpriced 25/30 mm g max springs thats what i,m after though .. as got a decent sound system in it at mo ..kept origional front speakers as there pretty dam good for standred ones .. clarion i believe...

well here is my facelift GLi



bumper upgrades, 15'' wheels as appose to 14'', other bits and bob, more to offer on optional extras when bought new.
but you can see some changes..

think the facelifts came in 89/90 ?? not quite sure, anyone else?

so now to the list of wheels interior suspension exhaust i need the front bumper splitter .............17" or gsi rims .. lowered around 40mm....gsi or senator twin tail pipe exhaust late xmas presents  Grin
