My carlton has rear electric windows that dont work. It's not wiring as both sides the motor starts then cuts out.

Both rear windows apear to have come up too high? Also the cable used to wind them up and down is very tight one side and quite loose the other (Between the pulley).

I have two rear mechs to replace the old ones but is there anything i should try to revive the old ones first?

Also the haynes mentions setting the stops but does not give enough detail. Does any one have detailed instructions for this?

I'm going to head out now to find the correct size pop rivets.

Thanks

In order to set the stops you need to wind the window fully down then hold the button for a further 2 secs, wind it up and do the same.

Not an option at present from what you've said.

Ok, so i fitted the new regulator today. The old and new types are slightly different but the doors seem set up for both.

I have figured out why the glass was too high. The stop had broken off.

Anyone got any rear window stops?

Thanks

Thanks
