just out of curiosity - what do all the 2 letter codes on the ecu's stand for or mean. am looking for one for my carlton gsi 3.0 24v c30se and i found one that says its FZ code.  is this the only one that works  - car has manule gearbox if it makes any difference .

I think that (ident) code relates to which version of software the ecu has.

iirc GG is 2.0

FE is 3.0 12v
