Is that possible? Ive just found one on ebay thats out of a 3.0... Has a small bunch of wiring on the back and a switch, But what does it actually measure? And is it possible to put it (working) into my 2.0 diamond? My clock doesnt work anyway....

the 3.0 litre isnt a direct replacement but can be modified to work, look out for a 2litre version i'm surprised your diamond doesnt have one as my old 2 litre dippy did
from memory it measured fuel econmy and range but its been a few years since i had one

Your Diamond should have had one so the plug should be there. You'll need a computer from a 2 litre (or the calibration plug from one if you get this one) an outside temp sensor and the switch which sits by the handbrake lever. It measures: Instantaneous Consumption Average Consumption Average Speed Range Stopwatch Outside temperature.

Dont think it ever had it dude, Im guessing by the switch near the gearlever you mean under the lever? Mine has a lil cubby hole... (which is pointless when the lever is down ) And after having the clock out the other day it doesnt have any other wiring behind it other than power for the clock and the light..... Nice to know what id need tho..Is it helpfull in any way? i.e range and consumption things?

You'll probrably find the plug taped to the loom further down by the heater controls, this is where I found mine when I changed the dash over.

Is it a yellow ish orange by any chance? I saw one that colour when i had the dials out the other day..... Would that mean the temp sensor would be fitted allready and all it needs is the head/dial?

If the temp sensor is fitted it'll be clipped into the bottom of the front bumper - passenger side. It connects via a plug by the battery tray.
The plug in the loom is yellow.
