As you know ive only owned it a few months and had a possible sell it moment, After too many silly offers, And the fact ive just put a new exhaust on it. Ive decided to keep it and have a play... So last night i picked up some wheels.... Porsche 928 7j and 8j 16inch alloys.... I want your opinion on those too as im not sure on them after offering them up...... But it will be going low, With a bit of stretch on the tyres too.... And the wheels.....

I wished they fit straight on... Na they are 5x130pcd as opposed to the 5x110 vauxhall fitment, But ive found someone who can make the adaptors for them Thats the reason i couldnt take it off the jack. And due to the huge drop out of the strut/ rear arm when jacked up i couldnt hold the wheel up in the arch to get an idea of what itll look like dropped... Shame . Im gonna have to get adaptors made first to get em on

How about a thread on retrorides asking for a Photoshop? IMO Carltons look better with a bit of dish as opposed to a flat faced rim, if your prepared to use adaptors or redrill the pcd there's plenty of nice cheap wheels about.

Only thing that bothers me, Is theres not a huge amount of nicely modified carltons... I.e go to any show like ed38 or any of the euro cleaned stuff. Theres no carltons... Id like to sorta try pull off the cleaned look.. Low and subtle. Rather than racer look Does that make sence? It doesnt to me lol.... And ive slyly asked for photoshops a few times but no ones stepped up yet

I like that one you linked up.. Looks pretty tasty. Bit low for my tastes but very tidy. I like subtle looks to them, And the blue one you linked pops up alot but other than that im finding some pretty chavy looking rims bolted to them.... One thing i noticed looking thru that lot, Is i like the 24v gsi wheels.... They look quite cool , Are they still 7j tho?

Yeh you need to do a little digging for the better ones but most have a winning formula, clean looks, nice wheels and slammed The 24v GSi alloys are 15x7s

lowered (as per my pic on another thread) was wondering how low the front can go .. i take it on the burgandy one its air suspension and has t o be highred up before it moves of lol .. actuall on this thread lol i like them wheels and think if they sit just in the arch and with nice tyres on and lowered will look nice ..as for coil overs like the look and ease of adjustment but hate the ride ..i thinks springs shocks and polybush everything is the best imo .. but nice to see a different type of tourer been done instead of the ovious bmw volvo lot

I proved that coilovers don't need to be harsh, Colonel K couldn't tell the difference between the factory comfort and my coilovers.

Not really, all coilovers I have used are harsh. Generally the cheap ones are softer and the expensive ones are good for track cars (hard ride).
These ones I made myself
