Been doing some touch up work on ex Murph's 2.6 estate and you may be interested in what I found trying various manufacturers paint match for Rembrandt silver. Might save you a bit of dosh.

Tried 3 suppliers:-

Match any colour supplier by selecting from a card - they tried 3 times and not very good. Gave up.

Halfords spray can - not bad but a bit goldy

Vauxhall spray can - best match but expensive and not much in the tin. Clear lacquer spray comes with it. Enough for one door only.

Now this of course depends on if your car has been resprayed and the colour is different from original. Recommended primer colour - grey

I am interested to know if this paint supplier you mentioned was using products from either Standox, Lessanol or ICI man of kent? Undecided

Cannot remember the name of the supplier but he said the paint was from Germany. Hope this helps.
