Can't believe there's no thread on here of this car Shocked
So here we go Wink
Owned it for 5 years done a lot of work over the years but it's been a damn good car, never let me down Smiley
It's been parked on my dads drive since January and looked very sad  Sad

How many cobwebs  Roll Eyes

And after copiouse amounts of Tcut, polish and very sore arms and shoulders

Had to do the bonnet again after parking outside a customers house in the morning and coming back to find it in the middle of road works surounded by bollards and covered in a big sheet, think the sheet scratched the paint when it was dragged across it  Angry

How shiney is that Smiley

This week I've finished the service, fitted a new cambelt, flushed the cooling system and renewed the anti freeze Smiley
Put a set of Bosch super 4 spark plugs in, used them in my old Cav cdi years ago and they made it run so much smoother and better mpg I thought I'd try a set in this one Wink

got a big water ingress prob with this now, thought some thig was wrong when the central locking started playing up, now it's full of condensation and very heavy condesation at that, noticed water on top of passenger rubber mat, thinking praps scuttle drains as it's been sat for 8 months but not had time to check it out yet but tonight water level light came on so I'm thinking heater matrix leaking Sad
Trouble is being air con model think it's a knightmare to do Sad
So checked it put yesterday and left scuttle drain was partialy blocked and right one was blocked solid Grin
So cleaned them both out, found a rust hole behind arch trim in bulkhead Sad
Going to have a word with a trader I do a lot of buseness with and see if I can put it in his spare unit for a while and strip the interior to dry it out Wink
Also while carpets etc are out I can do any welding that needs doing cus mot is due end of december Wink
Also I can check heater matrix cus I think it is leaking Sad

Normally, if the heater matrix is leaking, it's accompanied by a horrible stench !

when i bought mine thought id lift the carpets in front, drivers side saturated, matrix had been leaking, stripped out the sound proofing on that side, used couple of tea towels to dry floor+little trickle had been coing from matrix on that side, but on monitoring it since, seems to have plugged itself,a job for the next couple of years time i think, want to give the body some love first!

Doesn't sound promising does it?

It's good to hear there were no injuries though.

What a shame the BMW driver was O.K. this means that the IDIOT will still be a menace on our roads.

Same thing happened to me years ago on the M1 near Loughborough, everything stopped then 6 cars ploughed into the back of me.

Then the woman from the last car in line comes up to me and tells me that MY insurance company WON'T be pleased.

Ha, bloody idiot being last in line HERS got stung by everyone elses Grin

She didn't like it when the police told her that or when they wrote her up for walking on the Mway!

Doesn't look bad at all though.

Rekon a new bumper will sort it although I don't know what damage has been done in boot or behind bumper but Baz's mate is going to check it on a jig Wink
