Hi All,

Ive just bought a Senator 24v ex police. It has had leather seats fitted which I dont really like and they are noisey as hell, they creak and are cracked and a mouse has made dinner of the rear bench!

Will a Carlton saloon interior fit? I guess they will be easier to find, thats all.

What about the headlining, again mines tierd and Carlton will be easier to get.

What steering wheels fit? I have a Calibra Turbo one I'd like to use instead, its smaller.

Cheers!

Seats and headliner are interchangeable, as is any Vx steering wheel (of course airbag wont work).
Only problem you may have is that ex-police usually means no sunroof and that will make finding a headliner very hard.

Are we sure its ex-police then??? Sunroof??? electric windows?Huh

Id be more concerned about sorting the whine from the diff which is seized open, and a concerning whine from the engine bay, Engine 1st, then interior Wink then you'd have a sweeeet Senny Wink or perhaps catch them arches before they start going Smiley

Yeh most parts between the Carlys and Sennys are interchangable, i have my old Senny steering wheel on my Carly, i know someone with a Cav steering wheel in a carlton, so no worries about the Cali s'wheel fitting.

Isnt the Senny headliner an inch or so longer??? overall the Senny is 3inches longer than the Carly, and has a flatter rear window which i thought upsets the length of the headliner between the two cars???

Your profile doesn't say where you are fella, may be able to help with seats (Grey leather) if you need em - pretty sure I have the whole lot in the loft - free to collect, I am in South London, pm me if interested.

I am concerned about the diff and the noise - thats why Im picking a new diff up tonight and theres a thread in Oily bits about the whiney engine. I just wanted to find out what bits fit interior wise at the same time.

It is ex Po, just a bit of a mutant had a roof graft, doors and interior out of a written off CD when it was first sold by the Police. Its got loads of history with it, including a photcopy of the original logbook showing Bedfordshire Police . It has the holes on the rear quaters and the calibrated dials too Smiley I'll do some piccys in a bit.

Am in Somerset Joahnraka but really not looking for another leather interior, even if it is free! Cheers anyway!

one more Q - will Omega saloon interior fit? Even easier to find!

The rear seats will go straight in but I think the runners are a little wider on the Omega front seats.
I seem to remember someone swapping Carlton runners onto a set but don't quote me...

Gone with Omega seats, fully electric Elite ones.

Fronts fit if you solt the subframe holes a little, about 2-3mm each side. Omgea seats are in fact slightly narower.
