Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew how to change the dgi dash from kms to miles please, just got hold of a car and the kms readout is bugging me. tried pushing the two buttons a bit but nothing happened. The owners manual would seem to have been lost by previous owner. Just spent a while reading the forum very informative.

thanks

Hey and welcome Smiley

It is one of those 2 buttons, press and hold for about 3 seconds - cant remember which one though. Try pressing the buttons when car is idling because im not sure if changes if your driving

Thanks very much for the replies, I tried it and it didn't work. Does this mean the dash is faulty?

Thanks

To expand on what jonnybear says and quoting the handbook : -

"In the metric version the speed is dispayed in km/h. In the non metric version it can be displayed either in mph or in km/h. The changeover is effected by pressing the button to the left of the control indicators (for at least 3 seconds)."

So, as stated, you either have the metric only version or the button/wiring is faulty.

To check if the button is working OK; again quoting the handbook : -

"The odometer display can be changed to a trip odometer by briefly pressing the button to the left of the control indicators. Zero setting by pressing the button to the right of the control indicators"

I must have a metric dash then as the trip works ok. Not to worry it'll have to stay as it is for now. Thanks very much for the replies. Time is short to get on the computer at the moment but i'll be back on here soon I'm sure

Thanks again

To confirm that you have a euro dash next to mileage display does it say miles next to it? As non metric Radha uk spec even when convert to km the dash still counts in miles

I have a brand new dig dash uk spec with 3 k miles on it, looking for a 100 beer tokens for it, it's in original gm packaging,
