I have a 24V engine for sale - the busted one.

This is the engine that covered less than 5000 miles since a complete rebuild, then went bang last year.
Pretty sure it's a big end, but it could be a snapped gudgeon pin.
I simply haven't looked, not even taken off the sump, therefore I haven't a clue what needs doing.
Just one of those things.
I was going to take a look and maybe rebuild/repair it, but as my interest and faith in the Carlton has waned somewhat, I just want the engine gone now.

All I know is that it had new everything including pistons, rods, chain guides, bearings, everything related to the head...........lock, stock the lot.
The top end should still be fine, and I'm guessing the bottom end can be rebuilt without removing the head, therefore saving a few quid on gasketry and the like.

Please pm me an offer as I don't really have a clue what it's worth, but if no-one wants it for a decent amount, then I might be tempted to pull it apart one weekend.

Can you bolt the 24v head onto the 12v bottom end or are the pistons better. No idea what a good offer for it is not sure how much they're worth lol.
