Does anyone know to remove the plastic strip on the boot lid? Also, is it possible to dismount the plastic surrounding from the keyhole? I'm asking because I want to have them painted.

Open the boot, remove the carpet trim from the inside edge of the bootlid.  The plastic trim is held on my 4 8mm nuts.  Simply undo and remove the trim!!  To remove the key part, you need to remove the lock bar, squeeze the locking tabs inwards, then push the lock & surround outwards.

It's probably more simple to show you, but it really is quite simple to do!!
