hey peeps, i got a (GB) sticker on my boot lid, i wana take it off but worried abt scratches as its really stuck on there, anyone the best way of getting it off with unnoticable traces?? hairdryer by warming it up mayby, or some kinda liquid to loosen it up, but mainly the right tool to scrape it off.. cheers dudes  |

Hair dryer, peel it back very very slowly - worked for me but does depend on how long it has been there.
Whatever you do, don't try and scrape it off and be very careful with solvents.
Don't use a hot air paint stripper they get much hotter than your average hair dryer, may take a while bit it should come off, use Safecut or T-Cut (if non-metallic finish) to remove and residue.

Hairdryer and stickylabel remover from maplins. Worked for me and smells of lemons too.

Meths - very cheap, and you simply can't beat it for cleaning sticky gunk off. Bloody brilliant for cleaning windows too. |

I hate it when I have to go out when I'm down in Norfolk - I have to drink bottled beer, and they usually only have Budpisswatter. Daren't drink that muck out of the taps, cos it's cloudy, warm and tastes metallic, it's the hard limestone water. Foster's my arse - you lot need Calgon! Hence why I suggested drinking meths - better than what you get outta the taps in suvvern pubs............. |
