door trim moulding removal facelift carltons

hi,im having a pre-facelift back door fitted to my facelift,and have removed the thinner trim moulding,but ideally need to fit my thicker type trim to it without damaging it,as none availkable new now,bloke on e-bay says has them but spoke to him on giving him my vin e.t.c and he says not available now,so any one ever removed and re-used one succesfully before? cheers

Make sure you change the electics over - I'm told the wiring is different between the two.

it had a manual wind window,so took out regulator,will put in mine+outer door handle as their different aswell,central locking wiring should be same though!
