A keeper? or sell it one day?

Its always been a keeper Jimmy. I'd sell my DTM rep GSi 24v first and the GSi has a very special place in my heart, so you can imagine just how strong my feelings are towards my Senny. My Misses will have to bury me in it! Shocked Shocked Shocked

Yes, it is possible to alter the new speedo's mileage to match your old cars clocks but I personally wouldn't endorse this action as it requires exactly the same work as clocking a vehicle....

I know that some people would argue (I am one of these at least) that with cars as old as our Carlton's, Omega's and Senator's are....who cares what mileage is shown on the vehicles speedometer. Physical and documented evidence of regular and thorough servicing is far more important than low mileages backed up by the stamped GM factory service book because some low mileage vehicles may not have had an oil change for the best part of a decade because the manufacturers service intervals state that the low mileage car in question didn't require it. I've personally seen this on more than one occasion over the years with the different car clubs I've been a member of! Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Besides, all the cars I've seen with mechanical "Altered" mileages on these tampered vehicles clocks....the digits never seem to line up in a straight line again properly afterwards.

IMHO its far better to keep the old clocks and make a note of the mileage on the new ones when they were fitted you your Omega. If you ever sell the car on, its easy to work out exactly what exact mileage the car has covered since the swap.
