It says , offset 35-42, but a lower offset makes the rim sit a bit more to the outside, would an offset of 30 cause problems?

30 will be fine! Smiley

I ran a 42mm offset on my old Cavalier (49mm) and there were no problems. Tramlined a bit more, but then wide wheels will do that anyway.

Alot of the Japanese guys run from what was a 35mm offset car with -10mm rims and such like!  Shocked

As long as it fits the arch, which will only cause concern if you are jumping up in width a fair bit.

the main problem is that when you have the wrong offset it can cause the handling to be adversly affected and put a strain on your wheel bearings also it affects the kpi (king pin inclination) which can cause other problems the kpi is where the suspension is following a natural line through the centre of the wheel/tyre combo if like me you like to show the saxo/hot hatch tossers how to drive through corners and roundabouts and i know murph does too then anything that can upset the handling of your car is to be avoided at all costs also the front wheel drive rims could cause rubbing on lock making the tyres wear on the inside walls .......... not good!

i knew this was the case if u changed the offset a lot but i thought if u were a few out it wouldnt make a large difference Huh
