Thanks Mark - that was totally awesome.
Showing my age now, but I remember Gerry driving Baby B, Nick Whiting's Escort, the Team Castrol Firenza and the Trimoco Capri all fighting with a Mustang, Jags, a massive red Ford Galaxy and all comers at Snetterton when I were a lad, some "Race of Champions" or suchlike.
Bah, Eck, that video bought it all back!
I remember asking GM for his autograph, and he looked a bit busy, but I'd been wanting to it for a while, so plucked up the courage (Gerry was a BIG man, especially to a ten year old!) and asked him at the top of my voice (we were in the pits at Snet), expecting him to brush me aside. No, he turned round, sat down on the grass, asked my name happily posed for a pic which my Dad took, and signed my programme.
Wish I still had all that stuff from back then........

You lucky man Pedro. Closest I got was in 1996 when i went to Touring Cars at Knock Hill when i was ill and could hardly walk. Ended on the centre hill fast asleep while the whole lot went on. Missed the lot

I think I tripped over you! I remember it clearly, cos it was the only time I've been to Knockhill. I was there with TOCA, cos my then boss was a TOCA director. Second race, I went for a wander, and really did trip over someone that appeared to be asleep. Was it you?
