Sorted battery and idle issue.
Got a minor niggle remote CL fault now but probably sortable with a bit of wd40 Wink

I will get the windscreen fixed and put it in for an MOT then decide from there.
Its not going for £250 after that LOL

Note its had a new bumper and a replacement drivers door since the photos

Theres not a spot of rust on it

Looks like the end of the road for this.
MOT Fail big style on Emissions, corroded brake pipes, siezed handbrake cable and headlight aim.
Advisories on oil leak steering idler and a couple of tyres.

If it wasn't for the oil leak I would save it but it seems to be coming from the head gasket and combined with the emissions and erratic idle (yes its back again) I have had enough.

Thats not too bad?

Emmisions - Lamda (1/2hour job)
Brake pipes, not too bad, there all easy enough to get at.

Id be very suprised if the head gasket has gone?

If you werent so far away id make you an offer as those arches look very good and the car looks very smart indeed!

Its not Pete, where the f**k would it put it?

Just to re-cap the current fleet conists of the following
Capri, Monza, Astra, Carlton, and Carlton 2.0 Dippy! Id take it purely to re-mot then use it for a few months then move it on.

Took me fooking ages to get home this aft!

Just a bit demoralised with it.
If its not the HG then its the rear crank seal, theres so much oil its hard to tell.
Brake pipes, I think they are being harsh, one that failed was only changed last year.

If anyone fancies a spanner meet then I am well up for that and loads of spare room here but fed up crawling under a car on my own.

No rust anywhere body is spot on and it drives lovely. Just need to get some enthusiasm back

John I thought my head gasket was leaking oil but it turned out to be the rocker cover, without taking half the inlet apart you can get at a few of the bolts, found all mine to be loose didn't even put new gasket on and it's now cured Wink

Still deciding.

Once I isolate the oil leak then I will decide.
