Hi, seems this has failed in my Diamond, RRV8 discovered this when he turbed the heater blower on and it shot a jet right up.
I've sourced a donor item but its in the car and un removed, any tips, help or recomendations on how to get it removed?

remove steering column clutch and brake pedal and pipe work and the retaining screwand slide out! oh and wear heavy duty gardening gloves cos they are bloody sharp and will slice like razors (been and done that!!)

If it dosen't have A/C you can get them out with just wedging the clutch peddle to the floor. It's still very tight but aftermarket ones seem to be shaped better so you can refit them without butchering the fins to much. If you have A/C best bet is to remove the dash then heater box. It's a right work up

Oooh, thank god!! The Cars an Auto but the Donor is Manual but it needs to be stripped anyway!! Phew!!
Should I remove the whole heater box to remove the Matrix or is there an access hatch or similar?

It just slides out into the drivers footwell once the piework and retaining screw are removed - not a hard job on an auto you'll be pleased to know!
